Bari – A night of poetry, music and food
As Lebanon continues to face horrific attacks, it is important that everybody affected by the violence receives the support they need. Bari is raising money for relief efforts in Lebanon, with the funds raised targeting migrant workers, who are particularly vulnerable during this time. Primarily from Bangladesh, the Philippines, Ethiopia and Somalia, many migrant workers, who already face systemic exploitation under the kafala system, now find themselves trapped without access to safe housing, food, medical care, or the means to return to their home countries.
We are supporting ‘VOICES OF THE UNSEEN’, a coalition of charities giving vital aid to these workers alongside supporting displaced Syrians and Palestinians, and Lebanese citizens.
If you are unable to attend but would still like to support, then please donate directly to the link provided for Voices Of The Unseen coalition.
Every contribution – large or small – makes a difference in ensuring that migrant workers are not forgotten during these turbulent times.
